I kinda feel some type of way whenever I get a message like this. This customer paid to register and the same night decided to cancel. After a lengthy conversation, they decided to just stop attending. I told them I’d be happy to refund their money if they didn’t like the program. Apparently, the kid was embarrassed because in the last 20 minutes of the clinic, the other kids did not pick him and 4 others to play on a team so he was instructed to finish the workout with the beginners which are at his level although he’s older than most of them. In any case, should I have let him sit on the sideline while the better players scrimmage?? Or let him get more work in with the beginners/younger kids?? Or let him ruin the scrimmage and take away from the players that are working hard to get ready for high school ??
I mean, what more do you want me to do, I let him try to keep up with the group for the first 70 minutes of the workout despite the fact that he should’ve been with the beginners.
I understand being embarrassed but these other kids have been working hard for years and I’m not gonna let people come in and slow them down. So, they cancelled because he was embarrassed. 🤔 kinda like Ben Simmons not playing because he’s embarrassed 😂😂.

Super proud of this guy’s commitment. I challenged a bunch of players to start getting more work in, told them that a lot of the best players get up in the morning and work on their game. He immediately decided that he’ll start working out at 530am… I was actually hoping that he’d get up and workout BY HIMSELF in the morning but looks like I’ll be getting up too 🤦🏾. It’s okay, I’ll do whatever I can to support any of my guys dreams to reach their potential. If you’re a real hooper, consider morning workouts, your game will thank you.

She has a private lesson with coach Austin, then we got breakfast and frozen yogurt, then she hung out while I trained 5-6 appointments. Then we rushed to Panda Express just to notice they were closed, then we rushed across town to one that was still open 🙌🏾. Got our honey walnut shrimp 😜
She’s pretty much sick of me now but we had a little hallway Photoshoot before leaving the gym. She don’t know that there’s gonna be a ton of days like this in the future 😉 #girldad

Don’t be so quick to change a young players release. Eliminate variables within their control and let strength and maturity propel them forward in the future. Kids are already naturally efficient, they just need a little guidance ! Keep Shooting!

Making shots and getting the ball to go UP go hand in hand. Just because our follow through ends up with our shooting elbow above our eye doesn’t mean we necessarily did all we could do to get under the ball. Make sure to get that wrinkle in the wrist putting the shooting hand UNDER the ball and giving us the opportunity to push UP and not just OUT. How do you fix this mistake? Keep Shooting!
